for family the consoles that i recommend are xbox or the wii, but for teenagers i would recommend the ps3. Even though I am an xbox guy, I think that ps3 is mea not for both teenagers and adults. Do not know why, its just a feeling

The Xbox One may have more features but you need to ask yourself if your really going to be using all of those features. I have bee a loyal Xbox 360 user for years but I have the PS4 preordered because it looks a lot more appealing to me than the Xbox One. Most of the good apps and features that the Xbox has will be available on the PS4. The Kinect just seems like a gimmick to me. Even if I did love the Kinect, I do not have the necessary space in my room to play it. PS4 may have GDDR5 Ram but games are still going to look about the same on cross-platform games. It really comes down to games in my opinion. If you like to play more Xbox exclusives then get an Xbox One. The same goes for PS4. I know you said "money is no object to you" but with the extra $100 you could buy an extra game or a year of PS and have money left over! It looks to me like you answered your own question. Before you go out and preorder either one I would definitely wait until after this week because of Gamescom. Both Sony and Microsoft will be announcing new features and games. Maybe this will help you make a decision.

The only games I remember playing RELIGIOUSLY for months at a time were Tekken2 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I actually loved all Tekken games and all GTA except 3 ( I almost chose Vice City but I did not play that one very long)
