How to Clean Burner Grates and Caps

If your grates or caps are looking dirty or dingy, try to following to help clean them:

IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and the cooktop is cool. Soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested first unless otherwise noted.

Be sure the correct burner cap is on the correct burner base. The burner base and underside of the burner cap may have a mark indicating which burner cap and burner base match.

When reinstalling the burner cap; make sure the alignment pins are properly aligned with the burner cap as shown below. The burner cap should fit flush with the burner base and have very little side to side movement.

• Do not reinstall caps on burners while wet.

Burner cap: Always keep the burner cap in place when using a surface burner. A clean burner cap will help avoid poor ignition and uneven flames. Always clean the burner cap after a spillover and routinely remove and clean the caps. Do not reinstall wet caps on burners.

i am getting an error message when i try to burn a cd from itunes it says cd burner or software not found.?

Do you not have a CD-R drive? If you do not , that would account for it

The mechanism is wet and clogged with grease. Get in there with a toothpick. Then with gas off use a match around the burners to dry them out

I have been eating very healthy yet have only lost a pound or less per week, would taking a fat burner speed up the process?

Use an app to track your eating. Most people greatly underestimate what they actually eat. Measure. A bowl of cereal, is a few servings etc.I used the app "lose it". Log in everything you put in your mouth.You can lose weight just by adjusting how much you eat, but it will be very difficult. WHAT you eat and how much activity you are doing is a huge thing. I thought I was eating healthy. When I started logging in my intake I found I was eating several days worth of carbs in one day.Dont assume and stick to the recommended serving size and become a label reader.Good luck!

When should gas burners in a furnace be replaced?

Brian nailed it on the head I do apt maintenance and we have some old gas furnaces. We clean the burners to remove soot and debris but have never had to replace burners since there are NO moving parts to wear out. I do remove and clean the burners when I clean out the heat exchangers. Sounds like your heating contractor wants to sell some unnecessary parts...

Why doesn't propane flow to my burners?

Grills commonly incorporate a little "valve" that shuts down on a rush of gas - often caused by opening the burner control(s) before turning on the tank valve. Try taking it back where you got it, and swap it for another one. Less common but certainly possible: bugs/spider webs in the grill line, burners, etc, or a failed regulator. Try the first two things first.
