This statement presuposes that energy is the same as hydrocarbons. It also sounds like a statement from the sort of person who claims that it would be useless to reduce our consumption of hydrocarbons because of China and India. We need to cut our total CO2 emissions to zero. Any time frame would be a compromise. We need to come up with a plan with little or no pain, or the public will not accept it. Unless someone can get cold fusion to work, we should probably do as scientists suggest, and reduce our fossil fuel consumption by 80% by 2050. This question is moot because industry only produces products for personal consumption. Given that we need to reduce our fossil fuel use by 100%, no. It has to be done by a combination of efficiency and new energy. Why use tungsten filament light bulbs, when LED lights are much better than tungsten filament bulbs, or even compact fluorescent bulbs, or be the sole occupant of the largest SUV on your way to work. Nuclear power must be used, at least as a transitional energy source. An wind farm that is built instead of a nuclear power plant is wasteful, as it could be built instead of a coal plant. When we no longer use fossil fuels, then we can think about replacing nuclear power with solar or wind power.

into a fuse, they have kits at autozone and stuff for like 1.50. But that's the best way to do it. oh yeah, your fuse box should be on the driver side on the side. On the box it will show you the empty places that you can insert a fuse. Do not forget to ground the ground wire to metal on the car.

First, try to situate it so that it is blocked from the northern wind...up against a wall is ideal. Then, wrap the exterior of the pot in whatever insulation you have: leaves, wadded news paper, old egg crate/foam, styrofoam, etc. Secure it with twine or wire. If it's not already done, mulch the plant heavily with a good hardwood mulch. Not critical, but this will help. Then drape xmas lights around the tree and pot. Lower is better as heat rises and you want to keep the roots alive (leaves will probably drop off as w/all plants that go dormant in cold weather). Do not use LED lights, and only plug them in at night. Finally, wrap the whole thing in a plastic tarp...and old shower curtain works fine. Secure it with clamps of some sort...the office "bulldog" clamps work fine. I would do this only at night, though, or when you know it will be cold (under 40) all day. Make sure the soil is moist (not soggy) beforehand, too.
