Can You Have a Central AC System in Your Home If You Have an Oil Burner Or Do You Need Gas Heat ?

I have an oil burning furnace, and central AC as well, so I guess the answer is YES! The important part in a forced air heating system when integrating central airconditioning are the air ducts. If you have forced air ducts for distributing heat through your home, and not pipes from a boiler for heating radiators then you have the right system for adding air conditioning.

Unfortunately, VERY difficult to ascertain. One main variable would be the atmosphere's formation at a particular time in the Earth's history, which greatly affects the amount of heat energy lost to space. Early on, there was no atmosphere, therefore heat dissipated more easily, then later our Earth developed it's 'protective blanket'. Another variable is the radioactive decay going on constantly, thereby heating the mantle and the like. Different elements are going to decay at different rates. Sorry I could not be of more help

It means in the first week she is getting ready to breed...in the second week she is ready to breed...and in the third week she is starting to go out of heat...it means she can have puppies in about 63 days... Clowmy

Is this another one of your wild goose chases? Ha! Ha! When Little Bo Peep who lost her sheep, she at least had some sheep before she lost them, as the story goes. You greenies never had the heat and you still lost it. Pretty sloppy science, if you ask me. First you have to have something before you can lose it. Fact is, nobody ever had it. The only thing missing on this subject is the screws in greenies heads. Darwin: Any true scientist would ask for proof of a forcing before attempting to use it, calculate it, or scare people with it. Let us face it, AGW forcings are only theory, not fact.

4. 10 month old puppy sick? in heat? PLEASE HELP!!?

well the first sign is that she isnt spayed so it could very well mean that she is in heat. feel around her lower tummy for swelling if you notice the vulva is larger then she is more than likely in heat. like humans, dogs who arent spayed have their "period" or go into heat every once in awhile so you are fine dont freak out. if it seems like she is uncomforable or has trouble urinating then you need to take her to get checked. but she should be fine

IF I understand your question, the answer is YES, it is possible to reduce the heat loss through an old window, but still retain the ability to allow sunlight in through the window. It's called a "Storm" window, which is a simple window made with glass, plastic, or even plastic film which can be installed outside of the prime [old original] window, or inside, or one outside as well as one inside. The purpose of the storm window [s] is to create a dead air space between itself and the prime window, which tends to reduce the amount of heat transferred via CONVECTION. It's not a perfect solution to heat loss but it helps, and if two storm windows are used [one outside, and one inside], on either side of the prime window, then a significant amount of heat loss can be prevented. You can buy very expensive custom made storms, or expensive factory made storms, or make your own using 1 by 2 or 2 by 2 cheap wood framing, and the cheap milky white, semi-clear plastic construction vapor barrier.

6. Is there a way to generate cold in the same way that combustion results in heat?

I do not recall seeing any overall reaction that actually absorbs heat (I mean, to the best of my knowledge in the context of gaseous combustion).This is commonly refer to endothermic reaction(s) that is usually the intermediate one.Combustion by definition requires some degree of propagation and branching of chemical reactions. This is usually achieved by releasing radicals at very high rate and thus endothermic. The release of heat (exothermic) is a result of recombination of these radicals to much stable products.Therefore, intermediate reactions can be endothermic but overall reaction is generally exothermic.
